What is used ? Game Commander 2 or 3 ? Microsofts Game Voice ?

How does it work ?

Looking to be able to issue Voice Commands during Pitting to change settings
and such.

Thanks

Game Commander is about the easiest if you just need voice commands.

Which Game Commander version would be better for NASCAR2003, 2 or 3 ?

From what I read version 3 only offers some new mouse functionality so 2
would probably be fine.
Most I know using it use version 2.

Another option is to go with something like this (basically a keyboard that
has been "bashed"/rewired to switches).

Thanks for the info. I have one of those Belkin Nostromo mini keyboard
devices. Works Okay. Looking for something that would be a little more hands
free, especially when pitting.

Behind the scenes both use the same L&H command recognition engine. So apart
from the interface they are both probably very similiar.
