I have my second ethernet card on IRQ 9 and it works fine, but the Monster might
not like it. Try changing the IRQ to 10, 11 or 12 using CONTROL PANEL / SYSTEM
/ DEVICES. (Oops I'm on NT Workstation now so I can't remember the exact
choices). Of course change the IRQ to one that is not conflicting with any
current devices.
To test the card, Diamond has a test program to verify everything is working --
try that before any games.

I still use a Diamond Monster 3dfx voodoo l with my new AMD K6-2
350. And my system recognized the board just fine. Make sure that the
new drivers you installed are for the Voodoo l and not the 2. I use the
2.43 versions,and everything works great. I don't upgrade unless I need
to. "Don't fix-it,if it ain't broken..".
The installation is plug and play, but make sure that there aren't
any conflicting programs or files 1lst.

One more thing. If you are using the original voodoo1 drivers from the
installation disk -- they do not support DirectX 6.x. I assume you are using
DX6, so get the current voodoo1 drivers from http://www.diamondmm.com.
