Why a freeze-up in Nas-rev ???

Hey all........a buddy bought a new game that had Nas-rev demo CD included.
He lent it to me to try. Well...........all goes well, until the title
screen. Right after the "EA sports....it's in the game" graphics. Once I
move the mouse or click a button, my whole system freezes up. I tried the
"alt" button to free up the mouse...but nothing happens. I have the Monster
3d (4meg) card, P2 350 with 64meg ram. I'd like to try the game (despite bad
reviews here) to judge for myself. Hoping someone can help me...thanks.
