I saved a replay from SBK 2000 that I wanted to show to my brother (part
of my devious plot to make him upgrade his CPU and buy my V3 so I can
get a V5).
When I tried to load it, SBK just hung completely.  Short or long, any
track, every replay I save cannot be loaded.  Anyone else experiencing
this problem?  EA has no mention of it or a patch for SBK 2000.

TIA,
Kendt

are you trying to load it on his computer or the same one you took the
replay from.  Often if you have a patched version of a game, the replays
will be incompatible with those used with an unpatched version.
just a shot in the dark...

Same PC, unfortunately.  Have there been any patches to SBK2000 at all?

No patches unfortunately, but there was word that it's possible one is in
the making.

Your problem is not consistent with alot of others who cannot play
replays that weren't generated on their own machine, but I can play my
own recorded replays.

Cheers,
Rod.

Not 100% sure, but I'm pretty certain that it's a known bug. Blackhole were
telling me that a patch was in development, and indeed by now may even be
out, but I was under the impression that at the moment, you can't import
replays.

SBK 2000 Replays

I had this problem.  SBK2000 seems to be very quirky this way.  I dialed up
the EA help line and my problem was sort of traced to multiple video card
drivers loaded, which I corrected.  I corrected this the video driver
problem and it worked, but this sim definitely has some intermittent
fragility to it.  What I mean is:
    1. Sometime when you launch the game it may either go directly into a
standard 1 lap replay track or to the quick race screen.  This may not allow
you to race.  Can't figure out why.
    2. Other times, if I don't allow the intro to go to completion, the game
either locks up, shuts down back to windows, can't play replays or I can
play fine.  Can't find a pattern to this, except if I launch the game
without my Logitech FF wheel connected, it boots me back out to Windows.

This sim has its problems, which don't seem to be addressed by EA.  Haven't
seen the patch yet.  Will look for it at the EA site.

Good Luck,

Wayne

That will happen sometimes just out of the blue but usually when switching
drivers for your V-card or messing with options for your card under Windows
preferences. What solves
the problem 100% is to reinstall the game and then it works like a charm!

Exactly the same thing here.  Every single time I try to load a replay it
makes SBK 2000 crash.  I'm using a V3 3000 AGP btw.
