1. I don't think so. SBK2K hasn't been out too long.

2. I don't know what "people" use, but I use F5. Similar to F6, but gives a
better view of the track and doesn't include so much of the drivers' hands
animation.

3. The sensitivity controllers only work when you're using buttons for controls
rather than an x/y axis.

7. The fast guys are probably doing high 1:30's. I once did a 1:44.0. Still
learning though.

SBK 2000

I just got SBK 2000 today.  All I can say is wow!  This is as hard as GPL if
not harder and definitely has staying potential.  Earlier this week I was
undecided over whether to go for SBK or F1 2000.  I think I made the right
choice.

I do have a few questions though.

1. Are there any web sites with track guides?  The tracks seem so different
on a bike.  I really seem to have no idea how fast I can go through the
twisty bits, even at Monza.  I suppose this could be because, being a true
simmer, I started racing with all assists accept rider position off.

2. Which view do people use?  I have started with F6 which seems OK but I'm
still undecided.

3. Do the sensitivity controllers work?  They don't have any buttons on them
like in the manual picture on my installation.

4. Which graphics options make the most difference to framerate?

5. I have the following system: P2 400, 128Mb RAM, V3 2000, SB Live! 1024.
What settings are others with similar systems using to get the best
framerate and what resolution do you run at?

6. Does EAX make any difference?

7. Finally, what's a good time at Monza?  I've managed 2:17 at the moment.
Not very good!  I thought 1:30 in GPL was hard (still at 1:30:34 :-( ) but
2:00 in SBK looks damn nigh impossible.

Anyway, off to London for 4 days to watch the ice hockey challenge cup final
(come on the Panthers!) and do some work as well.  See if you can break the
1000 posts for me to download when I get back.

Cheers

Phil

Doesn't seem to be as yet, maybe beneficial to use braking indicators
until you get the feel of the tracks. Or try setting braking
assistance on 1.

use F6 myself.

Can't get mine working either.. can only assume that they don't.

Photorealism seems to have a hit as well as shadows.

Causing some machines to crash, apparently.. don't know if it makes
any difference cos I've always had it set to on ;)

I'm lapping around 1:44's with a 1:41 flat as my best time.. sure you
don't mean a different track? ;)

Cheers,
Rod.
