N2 Talladega slow down

I was racing today at Talladega and I noticed I can't go as fast as I have
before.  All the race settings are the same, same setup, and I even
re-calibrated and still it was slow.  Anyone have this problem before?

Noticed this problem when I last used reformulated gas. Kidding aside. \Have you loaded
new software that might affect your overhaul settings?

Try an re-calibrate your controller.  Also, just in case, make sure you
don't have any helps turned on.

That usually happens with me at any N2 track after I have spent time
racing another sim, such as GPL or VR. It usually takes me a little
while to get readjusted to N2's physics engine.

This will probably do it.

I also tend to 'short-stroke' the accellerator calibration just a tad as
well.

What I mean is do a calibration and remember what the number is when you
fully depress the accellerator.

Then, re-calibrate again, and when you press the gas, stop short by
about a count of 20.  Don't press it all the way down.

This will not gain you an edge, it's not a cheat, but it will help
overcome mechanical sloppiness that is present in all controllers and
make sure you get full accelleration all the time.
