Serial cable with null modem adaptor.  Then follow setup steps.  All
works fine.

Bob:
You need either a null-modem cable, or an in-home IPX network.
The null modem cable is a standard serial cable with pins 2 and 3
crossed.  Go to multiplayer mode, make sure that the computer you pick
to be the answering one is the faster of  the two and has the N2 CD in
it's drive bay.  Pick direct connect, go to setup and tell it what baud
rate, (9600 works just fine),and what serial port each computer is
using. Then click on connect, and you're racing.
To begin with, choose the Multi carset for both computers...

Hope this helps,

Mark

: You need a null modem cable, attached to one of your com ports, either
: one or two, like wise on the other computer.  Then in setup, choose
: direct connect, and choose the port your cable is in, again likewise
: on the other computer.  It should work.

I've raced N2 with a direct connection and it works pretty good but
I usually use my local network which gives me a awsome latency of
only .02 seconds!
