being kept in suspense over the release of THE game. Ive been
waiting since I read a review in PC Zone magazine back in Aug/Sept
1995, with mouthwatering screenshots.
Its a case of de-ja-vue as I remeber waiting for F1GP to come out
after seening the 97% review in a Atari St magazine, sufice to say
that was delayed, Geoff must either be a perfectionist, or Microprose
can't get their act together. I upgraded my old ST from 512k to 1mb
to cope with the full game (but it did work on half a meg !), Im now
doing the same. I upgraded my 486 to a dx280, but now I have a
pentium, so at least I SHOULD be able to handle the game at full
pace.
I did have a date from my local computer shop for release as the
end of april, I just can't wait no more.
Here are A few improvements/features I would like to see implemented ;
all flags I.e. Black flags/red flags/blue/oil flags
time penalties
sand traps working/stalling engines
refuelling/more releastic tyre wear. I dont see great detrimental
performace at moment with not pitting.
Artificial inteligence, just that. As the hype has been spelling out,
more competitive (and fair) opposition
option to only race if within 107% time of fastest car on harder level
Better structured difficulty levels, it was to hard to soon on F1GP
More scope to set up and test cars
warm up lap/spare car if problems
pit boards
Internet link !! DWANGO type
no downgrade in playablility for less spec machines. (with graphics
reduced)
Upgradable for cars and new tracks
More on screen information on other drivers while racing.
Pit to car radio messages
better sound
We can all wait and hope !
