I just thought some of you might like to check out this, a 39.3Mb
video of World Sports Cars, available at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

It is a video camera recording a TV screen showing some menus and
replays. The start of it looks like a fairly advanced version of
Brands Hatch, with one car circling. Look at the car as it goes
through the chicane - as it heads over the crest, the rear end
lightens and gets thrown slightly sideways, and the way the sim
accurately recreates the little shake as it regains grip is truly
phenomenal! I was dubious about this game ever delivering anything
like its potential before I saw this, but now I just want it!

By the way, don't all start downloading it just yet, I only have 35%
:-) Luckily it is a .mpg so you can watch what you have downloaded so
far while still downloading the rest.

I don't know. I found it on the internet, didn't know if anybody here had
seen it, and posted it. Sorry for trying to be helpful, jeez.

Before I take the time/bandwidth to grab this, is this any different
from the video that was floating around about a year ago?  I believe
that video had a Mclaren going through a chicane, skipping over the curb,
and that was about it.

This a quite long (couple minutes) video of a few different sports cars
running around Brands Hatch (apparently). It was filmed off a monitor, so it
is somewhat flickery. It is very pretty but the car motion isn't too
convincing.

This is several laps starting with the Mclaren, then running short stint
with the Panoz and the Mercedes/Sauber? At Brands Hatch...the original video
I remember had a half lap at Monza, then he turned around and redrove the
same half lap backwards...before opening a door or bonnet(can't remember
EVERYthing)
This may not be new, but it's not that trade-show vid.

Do not get offended..

Personally I am glad that he mentioned this was a old movie so I did not
have to go spend all that time downloading it since I have already seen it.

Glad that you posted the link trying to be helpful, but do not get offended
when someone else also tries to be helpful

Nick,

Even if it might be a year old, I hadn't seen this one before.  Thanks for
posting the link.

I had not seen that vid b4. I thought it was the one with the missing body
panels but it wasnt not, thanks alot for posting the url. I saw a mouse
pointer at the selection screen, I would assume it's a PC version..
Considering the way that this sim is being developed the cost of overhead
must be nearly nill. I'm willing to bet this is why its taking so long. Sure
it could have a bunch of money thrown at it and do a burnout out the door,
it would be just another EA "Gamulation".  I have faith still.... I believe
we would of heard something if it wasnt coming out...
