Hi,
The coilspring of the throttle panel on my T1 is broken? Does anyone out
there have a similar experience. How can I fix it? I e-mailed
Thrustmaster last week but they have yet to give me a reply.
Thanks in advance

I've busted many on my T1. What you will need is a a phillips head
screwdriver, an allen key and some wrenches. I usally start by takink the
rolling part of the pedals off so I can take the plastic cover off of the
base. Be careful not to break any wires loose because they will also be
attached to the cover and the base. From there you will have to disassemble
the spring from the the pedal. Be careful still not to break any wires
loose. The spring only goes in one way. You'll have to check your brake
pedal to see which way it is because I can't remember off hand. Then
reassemble the gas pedal the same way it was. It is kind of hard to get the
spring in properly. You have to use a bit of force to get it in. I hope
this helps a bit but I am relying a bit on memory.
I guess the other option is to send it to thrustmaster to fix but this may
be expensive because the springs will break regulary depending on how much
you use it. If you can order at least 5 springs. Also I was told to not
push the pedal to the full exent of it's travel. Instead use a 2 by 4 or
something behind the base so the pedals won't travel as far.
Good Luck....John
