Thrustmaster T1 with F1GP/World Circuit

I just got a T1 and was wondering what settings other
people use with F1GP for the wheel. Do people normally
use linear or non-linear mode, and what lock angle is
the most appropriate.

I tried linear mode, but found that the car was far too
squirrelly (which may be due to more cheapo games card
that cannot give a constant centre [last digit flickers
on F1Gp's calibrate]).

I also have a stupid problem with the wheel, which is that
the connectors have such large screws that I cannot connect
both at the same time to my card, and so I have to use the
adaptor. Has anyone else got this problem? Is it worth
my while changing the connectors?
