Looking For The ultimate F1 Video Game for PC.

Hi,

This is the first time I have visited this newsgroup so I do not know
what's been discussed
here before.

I am looking for the ULTIMATE F1 video game for my PC. It must make use
of a
complete driver interface steering that is authentic (same or nearly the
same as what the
F1 drivers use).

Please let me know who makes the most realistic game available.

Thx

If your looking for *video* games (arcade type), then you probably want
Formula 1, by Psygnosis.
Great graphics, not very realistic, or much of a simulation?

Then you probably want either the TSW, or ECCI or F1 Sim wheel and pedal
set-ups, (the ultimate in driving simulation set-ups).

Ahhh, if you want *realistic*, then you must have F1 Grand Prix 2, by
Microprose.
Great car physics, good graphics (if you have a very fast pc?), good AI,
lots of options, a great simulation.

So, what was it you wanted again?

Liam,

If you've got the horsepower in your PC, Grand Prix 2 is the definitive
simulator.  It features a multitude of setup options, tons of add-ons at
various websited and a truly realistic fell.  I'm running a P166 (32MEG,
4MEG Matrox Mystique) and can still only get 18.5 frames per second with
some details turned down.  However, I'm hooked on the realism involved and
the driving model.  It's got various AI settings for the opponents and the
tracks are realistic.

Bang for the buck, buy it!

Regards,

Glenn
