Well I broke down and purchased a T2 tonight. I had previously been using
a Virtual Pilot Pro and the CH Pedals to get my Nascar machine around the
track. I would never of dreamed of changing controls because of the double
role that the Pilot Pro gives for flight sims and I just couldn't see the
need for the extra expense. The only reason I went out and did it was
because my right knee would beginning to hurt if long hours were spent
driving. Well with all this background (I know it was probably unneeded)
The T2 performance blew me away. To test out the device I loaded up
Talladega, chose the Qual12 setup and headed for the track. With the Pilot
Pro, unless I got a perfect line through the dogleg I would get some tire
noise no matter what and drift to the outer wall. With no warmup I was not
only able to run the dogleg with absolutely no tire squeal, I even bested
my previous high qualifying speed by over 1mph. So all you guys or gals
out there that may be using the Pilot and Pedals setup but still can't run
super laps should really consider the added expense. I now am a true
believer in the specialized joystick area.
