T1 vs T2, whats differences?

by Ron R. » Mon, 24 Jun 1996 04:00:00

Can somebody tell me the diff, (besides price) between T1 and T2
wheel/pedal setups? Also when I buy one of these for my 486/66-dx2
(sone to be 166 pentium) how do I hook it up to work with a system
using joystick port on SB pro16 that came with my diamond 4x CD?
BTW does anyone know of a patch that adds selection of SB16 for V1.2
nascar? all I can get is 8bit but have 16 bit card available.
Thanks in advance.
Ron

T1 vs T2, whats differences?

I just bought the t2 to replace my t1.  It's great.  It takes a few times
to get used to the pedals.  I like it 10 times better.  Ove the grip on
the wheel.

The T1 is the first wheel by Thrustmaster.  The wheel is not very sturdy and
has dead spots which get worse.  The pedals on the T1 have a roller instead
of a flat pad.  The T2 has a much better steering mechanism and a padded
wheel.  The pedals are flat as opposed to the rollers..only problem is that
when you apply brakes and gas together..the unit flops forward. You have to
velcro it or attach it to the floor to improve that.  IMO, the T2 is still
much better than the T1 because of the wheel.

High performance wheels like The Thomas Super Wheel (Excellent) or the ECCI
or Pro Controls are all much better than the Thrustmaster..but also more
expensive.
