Black Momo-Paddle Died

After 6 months the right paddle on my black MOMO is dead or broke or something.
Is this one of the known problems?  Is it worth taking back to Best Buy or
will they just take it and send it back and I sit without a wheel.  Any advice?

Usually a retail store will only replace a product if it is defective
within 30 days of the sale.  UNLESS you bought one of those instore
warranties at the time you purchased the wheel.  THen they will just take
it back and give you a brand new unit still in the box.  Most likely you
will have to go through the Logitech Support/returns process.

But you can at least ask, it never hurts to try.

if logitech has their own warranty you can convince the manager of best buy
to cover the manufacturer warranty and give you a new wheel but plan to
spend about an hour arguing with the manager. Eventually they give up.

Are you sure it's broken with all driving games? Once in a blue moon, one of
mine won't work with N2003. I have to reboot and reassign, and then
everything is fine again.

That is one of the known problems.  Deal with Logitech customer
support directly - I did and they shipped me a new wheel.

Its a defect in the design Dave.

I'd call up Logi and have em replace it.  If it's not under warranty there
is a fix somewhere but I dont recall.  Slotweak site maybe?  IIRC it was a
proactive fix though so if it already broke it may be too late.

There are two versions of the Momo Racing wheel. The first is prone to
paddle lever problems, the later version improves this situation. The
identifier is the part number on the base of the pedal set. If it ends
with -0000 then it is the original wheel with the problem, if it ends
in -1000 (or I assume anything else) then it is the revised version.

I had one of the original (-0000) wheels and it it lasted precisely three
days. I returned it to Logitech and waited 6 weeks, then received a new
wheel (-1000), which I have now had for about 8 months and have had no
further trouble.
