HEY!! I had a buddy come over to my house one night and we spent about 3
HOURS racing DD! I thought it was such a blast! Certainly no sim, but a
helluva lotta FUN.

BTW, My daughter and I still get out Big red racing once in a while to play
on the home LAN. It's fun to race the trucks thru the gravel pits. easy,
but fun.
That latest f1 sim from psychnosis stinks too. I hope so much that f1
2000 and GP3 won't disappoint us, it's time for a decent f1 sim!
And Big Red Racing... now that brings back some good memories. Had a
lot of fun with that game, even now it's still fun too play. Allthough
it becomes really hard, I never was able to finish the championship.
Did anyone succeed in this? What happened after you won the
championship?
A couple of days ago I installed Viper Racing again. This is also one
of those golden oldies that keeps interesting. The driving model is
really superb, especially after you upgraded the car a little bit.
But there are some problems with Viper Racing: tracks are not really
great, the cars look out of place when viewed from the outside, and
the AI is really really really bad. All in all a sim with a superb
racing model, but the rest of the game is not so good.
A Viper Racing 2 with some more realistic tracks, better graphics and
improved AI would be a real winner...

what a funny game!!
You had to pit every lap because you would run out of fuel if you tried to
do two laps!!
Have to agree with you there. There is a 12 second difference between 1st
and 15th in qualyfying as well. Crappy game. Got it for chrissy (cos i
asked for it stupidly enough) played it for three tracks then onto the
shelf. It reinvented the love i have for GP2 so it aint to bad in that
respect

Hey, I had that on my Spectrum. It was one of those game where changing
gears for corners was optional. :)

Andretti Racing for sure. Got it bundled with some hardware I bought,
unfortunately it didn't make it through to the end of the day before
being pc systematically removed. 8-(
Gee, in fact it stunk so bad that I got a visit from the environmental
health inspectors after they received complaints from my neighbours.

Aren't the people who did Viper racing meant to be doing a
NASCAR sim for Hasbro? There was a big noise made about it in
RAS about a month ago but since then all has been quiet.
Havn't heard much about WSC lately either? Two promising
possibilities, lets hope they don't fade away before we get to
see them.
