Challenge". What a piece of crap.
: The worst racing game I have bought was Test Drive 4x4! Oh this

: GPL, really spoilt the occasion:(
Well, I'm going to reach wayyyy back to 1992. After two years of wringing
out hot laps on the original Accolade Grand Prix (in hindsight a ***
game as well, but the sim world was in its infancy) I gladly plunked down
my hard-earned cash for their 1992 version. It was dismal. Even with
nothing to compar it to it was bad. Then I bought Crammond's little gem
about three months later, and the Accolade box realllly started to look
sad. Since then I have been a more selective shopper (and demos have
helped), so I have not been disappointed by a purchase since then.

That reminds me of when I was going to buy an F1 game with Nigel
Mansell's name in the title, but changed my mind and went for F1GP
instead :-) I never found out what the Mansell game was like, and
I don't recall ever seeing it mentioned here - can anyone tell me
what they thought of it?

I used to have "Nigel Mansell's World Championship" for the Gameboy. It
wasn't all that bad, in fact, except for some backmarkers that made
Phillippe Alliot look co-operative, a really *** tune, and a completely
ridiculous blurb on the box. IIRC it went something like this:
Hold on to your engines and pour on the coal as you hit the track with
<yellow italics> the greatest name in World Championship racing, Nigel
Mansell. </yellow italics> You're in control. You've got the machine. But
can you handle it? Try rough weather, a mean track and competition that
won't quit.
[and so on and so forth]

The first one was no more than a spiced up Pole Position (some 8 years
later, imagine! :-) )

Don't go knocking Big Red Racing. Still my favorite Arcade Racing
_Game_. Also a great way to blow 10 minutes.

Please don't knock off the most under-estimated arcade game of the last
century ;-)

how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world.
All in all it was a good effort. shame about the cassette tapes taking about
10 minutes to load each track <G>
