: I am missing something! I have noticed Nascar setups either here or on the WWW give rear camber settings. The NASCAR RACING I've been driving has no
: rear camber adjustment. Is this only available through and with the NASCAR
: racing league that is online?
You're not missing anything, Ron. In the real world of NASCAR racing,
rear camber is not an adjustment that can be made at the track. You see,
these cars have solid rear axles, and camber has to be built into them.
Also, NASCAR limits the amount of rear camber that can be used, a rule
that stems from a period in 1992 when axles were breaking on car after car
because the teams were running too much rear camber. Another interesting
note--the NASCAR Craftsman trucks are not allowed to run any rear camber
at all.
There are ways to adjust rear camber in NASCAR Racing, but you have to use
a hex editor to do it. Papyrus has also made it clear that it is illegal
to use any setup where rear camber has been altered with a hex editor.
Hope this helps.
