Wingman Extreme Digital replacement part???

by Jaso » Thu, 08 Oct 1998 04:00:00

Hello,
Recently, the *** boot at the base of my Extreme Digital started ripping
and now there is a fairly large hole in it. It affects the performance of
the stick sort of, that stupid *** gets bunched up and makes movements
difficult.
I phoned Logitech Warranty and they said mine ran out, so I guess I'm stuck
with this thing. Anyways, would anyone happen to know of a place that sells
replacement parts for this stick?? I haven't checked yet if the bottom
screws off or if it's riveted, so replacing anything inside might not be
possible anyways, but if it is, could you please tell me where I could find
a replacement *** boot for my joystick?
Preferably online. Thanks for any help you can provide. Please email me with
an answer as well.

Wingman Extreme Digital replacement part???

A year or two ago, I contacted Logitech about a year ago regarding a
replacement trigger for a Wingman Extreme (not digital) and they said
"sure, send it in for repairs" but also that they don't sell
replacement parts.  This is a pain, as I've found replacement
microswitches, but the pots in the base a starting to wear (layer of
carbon dust on the baseplate) and these are nonstandard enough to make
them unreplaceable.
The short & long of it is that getting these parts for the Wingman is
going to be very, very difficult...
