What's the deal?  YThe spotter gives the wrong car number when referring
to your car (according to your paint scheme).

Either change the car number in the car file, or change your paintscheme
to match the car file.

I shouldn't have to tell you why this is important.

I think quitting was the wrong way to handle it.

I'll stand by John on this one...

If we're to have a carset for this little friendly get together -  the car
should atleast be numbered correctly.
If this is not done - I really dont see much point in having / maintaining a
carset at all...

Paint 'em however you like - but atleast number them correctly... meaning a
number on eachside, roof, front and rear.

Congratulations, the RASCAR police have managed to suck the fun out of what was supposed to be a
casual fun low pressure get together.  Unless you were going to let someone else have 65, then it
would have never been an issue.  But since its your group do what you want, as I said, I'm not going
to put up with it.  Nearly half the cars don't have near proper numbering on them to be recognizable
on the track anyway.  I don't read this forum that often, and I don't appreciate the post about you
thinking you're being ignored.  Good Luck with it, but you guys really need to chill.

It *is* casual fun and low-pressure.  However, to preserve the fun, we
simply must be willing to play within the limits of the game.  Those
limits REQUIRE that cars be marked for easy identification.

The ONLY thing I honestly care about is that the cars have numbers where
we expect to see them, and that those numbers are easily seen and
identifiable.  This requires that the car file itself accurately reflect
the number painted on the car.

Well, we couldn't very well let someone else HAVE 65 (or even 065) since
we didn't know what you were intending to do.  However, I don't think
anybody was expecting you to act like a *** about it when we brought
it up.

Well, according to my last count, there were 60+ cars listed on the
roster page.  I only have pictures for about 2/3 of those, but if you
can point out more than 10 of those that are not numbered in something
that resembles an acceptable format, I'll conced the point.

It's not our fault that you're not compelled to keep a*** of what's
going on around you.  Further, my post about being ignored was a
satirical remark intended for those of whom ARE keeping up with day-to-
day business.  Afterall, we don't have a crystal ball that warns us when
someone doesn't read the forum very often.

Instead of being a brainless ass, you might try using reason and logic
when considering your presence in an online racing game.  The stuff I
(and others) brought up was simply for everyone else's benefits while on
the track. If you don't see that, then I personally don't want you on
the same track with me.

Since I chose not to participate I'm glad you took the high road and didn't resort to name-calling,
oh wait you did.  You wanted me to make changes I didn't want to, for reasons I explained, so I
chose not to race with you, let it go already.

It's nice when you guys have a number on the right rear near the tail light
as well.  Contrasting colours make it stand out as well.

Although, using the good old standby of F2 helps when lining up as well.

The minute someone doesn't agree with your version of how it should be, you start
insulting them with abusive comments.
You, sir, are a divot.
Biz has the right idea.

Just curious, which one of these were you thinking about in regards to
JS ?

\Div"ot\, n. A thin, oblong turf used for covering cottages, and also
for fuel. [Scot.] --Simmonds.
Source: Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, ? 1996, 1998 MICRA,
Inc.

1: a piece of turf dug out of a lawn or fairway (by an animals hooves or
a golf club) 2: (golf) the cavity left when a piece of turf is cut from
the ground by the club head in making a stroke; "it was a good drive but
the ball ended up in a divot"

The idea is to create a fun environment, yes, but that doesn't mean it
should be "lawless".

The aim is to have distinct, recognisable cars for each competitor in turn
in order to avoid having several generic, identical looking cars in the race
(provided individual competitors keep their RASCAR carset up to date). John
and Phil put in the effort to organise this, prevent number conflicts and
compile the carset, therefore they get to call the shots in this respect.

Requirements for running in RASCAR are very modest and I consider it a
matter of common decency with regard to the organising members to comply
with them. As I understand it, all you had to do was quit, change the number
for your online car to match your paint scheme and reconnect. That doesn't
sound like a lot of bother to me. Unless you really dislike being told what
to do by John, of course.

Jan.

Perhaps john dosent have to insult him, if he doesnt want to race then thats
fine, plenty of drivers. The numering is an issue because if you are on a
pace lap for example and get told to pass the 30 car but u cant find one
becomes very frustarting. Also now you are resulting to insults....
