F1RS: Anybody driving using keyboard ?

by Kes » Fri, 17 Jul 1998 04:00:00

Hi, Is there anyone out there who plays F1RS using the keyboard ?
I would be interested in seeing what sort of  lap times other people are
getting so I can compare them with mine.

F1RS: Anybody driving using keyboard ?

I haven't put in too many hours on F1RS, (amd i haven't driven all of
the tracks?) but most of the hours that I have put in,(around 100hrs?)
were using the keyboard, (I've never got the hang of my F1 Sim wheel
and pedals set-up in any racing game/sim other than GPL?)

From memory my best times are approximately as follows:

Barcelona (Spain) - 1:22

Montreal (Canada) - 1:22

Silverstone (England) - 1:24

Hockenheim (Germany) - 1:45

Spa (Belgium) - 1:50

Monza (Italy) - 1:27 (sad but true!!!)

Sukuka (Japan) - 1:39

Not the best by any means, but not too bad either? I'm fairly
consistent too, as these are around my best times for GP2 as well!

These times were achieved using car set-ups from the net (unnofficial
f1rs website?) which I tampered with slightly, as the default set-ups
have far toom much understeer, and conservative suspension, brakes and
gear ratio settings.

Hope my times compare well with yours....and vice versa....
