huge pileups (of cars that is... that's supposed to be racing?).
Furthermore, the car engine sounds from the preview don't sound right,
perhaps a leftover from the F1 project?

The script ain't that bad. It's corny, but it's a solid
"entertainment"-type movie. It won't bomb at the box-office, I expect
around 100million. Don't tell me you all won't take a peek at it to point
out the tracks used, or the drivers having cameos ;) Renny Harlin knows
how to direct a good action movie.
Actually, the first preview (teaser trailer) used the exact, and I mean 100%
exact, ferrari94.mp3 that circulates around the net. Yes, the one that
starts with crickets. It's absolutely the same.
The full movie sounds are made mostly from the Champ 101 car that are used
in the movies.

I'm sure it's safe to say that the CART tracks will be featured. Parts of the movie where actually shot
at the tracks (like Detroit last June). I believe it was also shot at Mosport
I've seen the previews and there's something about a Indycar chase scene on the city streets to say it's
not for this racing enthusiast. They won't get my $7, or whatever it is now, to see it.
As for finding about the cameis in the movie, just hang out here. Someone will tell us, lol.

p.s. Movies are $10 or more in my part of Canada :(
the movie where actually shot
on the city streets to say it's
Toronto, Homestead, Mosport, Detroit, Houston, Montreal, Long Beach,
Fontana, Rio de Janiero, Motegi. Chicago, Surfers Paradise. For Montreal
they both shot at the Gilles Villeneuve F1 circuit (I'm there in the movie!)
and the 10-mile super oval near Blainville that is used to test GM cars but
will take place in Germany in the movie, with a great staged rain event that
will give us a nice crash "a la Monza race from the movie Grand Prix". If
there is any other tracks used in the movie, I was not told of them.
As for the drivers, Montoya, Papis, Franchitti and Brack have spoken roles,
IIRC (from the last script)
Jean Alesi, Jacques Villeneuve, Max Papis, Adrian Fernandez, Roberto Moreno,
Memo Gidley, Chip Ganassi, Tony Kanaan and John Della Penna also appear in
the movie.
on the city streets to say it's
now, to see it.
It's a ***y movie. It's there to escape reality. Those reasons are just
elitist and quite stupid.

Because 99.9% of the people at the movie won't know the difference.
They'll just hear
something that sounds incredibly loud and powerful, more so than the ***
piece of tin
Toyota Corolla they schmoozed to the multiplex in.
Jean Alesi, Jacques Villeneuve, Max Papis, Adrian Fernandez, Roberto
Moreno,Memo Gidley, Chip Ganassi, Tony Kanaan and John Della Penna also appear
inthe movie.
Basically, they are long friends with Stallone from all his trips to the F1
races.

You sure about that statement? Couldn't the same thing be said about
many other forms of entertainment? Including our own beloved racing
sims when someone chooses to slag one off. If someone chooses not to
want to partake of something because it doesn't fit in with his/her own
ideals for what he/she would find appealing then what's the problem?
Fortunately films are still diverse enough to not be just '***y
movies' used to 'escape reality' for the time that you are watching
them. Some of them can actually have a more prolonged affect long after
you've actually seen them. And hooray for that. Come the day when the
only reason I could think of to watch a film is for a couple of hours of
escapism then it'll be time to shoot me as I will have been finally
assimilated into the global consciousness.
