LWFF Pedals Mods?

I have a lwff and I am very pleased with it, except now I feel the pedals
are holding me back on braking. Its more consistent just to lock everything
than trying to find a very allusive "just right spot".

Any mods that I can do to these. I remember something about a squash ball.

All advice very gratefully received.

Martin,
check out the pedal-section in my Logi-corner (address below).
I heard from one guy that the trimmer-soldering isn't needed, since the limits
can be adjusted with DFXtweaks (or what was the name?) to find the right point.
