Thanks in advance fir any suggestions
I am having the same problem. I have a Packerd Bell (going soon but all I
have for now) with the video card in the mb. I added a creative labs riva
tnt card and I selected the 3dfx option on install. I select 3dfx in the
game, exit, when I come back in, it says none. Is this a problem with the
game or our cards?

A Riva TNT card is not a 3Dfx card, that is why the option will not
work for you. Installing a video card based on Voodoo and Voodoo 2
chipsets are the only way you will be able to run 3Dfx enhanced
programs.

After you change the option in the program, look at the app.ini file in
the GPL directory and make sure the following is set:
[ Graphics ]
lastRasterizerDLL = rast3dfx.dll ; Last rasterizer DLL selected
If it still defaults to Rendition, you may have multiple Glide DLL's
floating about on your system. The reference drivers will do a search
of your system for duplicate or invalid drivers via the "Utility" option
of the video properties.

For GPL at least, you're going to need to get a Voodoo 1/2 card, which would
work with the TNT or the built-in card, or replace the TNT with either a
Banshee or a Hercules Thriller 3D (Rendition)
