Act Labs shifter...which software?

by Four furry fiend » Wed, 17 Sep 2003 19:08:24

I just received an A.L. shifter yesterday.  Which software are most people
using in order to use it with GPL, the various F1 2002 mods, and Live for
Speed?  I've downloaded copies of both the A.L. Shift Utility v.2.2, and
GPLShift 0581.  Will either one work with all 3 sims?  Or should I use
GPLShift only for GPL, and the A.L. Utility with F1 2002 mods and LFS?  I'm
using a TSW2 Modified wheel with clutch pedal, winXP, DX9, Soundblaster
Audio Audigy card, and an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro videocard. Thanks.

for GPL, use GPLShift. it patches gpl.exe, so afterwards don't need any
utils.
it needs setup GPLShift.ini (confiugration file).

for f1 2002 and mods, use ALshift

LFS support free shifting, so no need to use any utils,
just setup in the game's option -> controls.
select Shift type: shifter, and configure shifter button.

Thanks for the reply.  So far, it is working pretty well.   Set up was
easier than I thought it would be.

Sean.
