Apart from fixing all the explicit bugs I would very much like
Papyrus to fix the following major discrepancies:

- Fix the track AI at Phoenix(too slow in T1) and Oz(AI race line in
the chicanes is bollocks). Without this fix ICR II has 13 tracks,
  not 15.

- Decrease the traction at Milwaukke, Nazareth and Loudon to make the
lap times comparable with the real ones. The Mile and Loudon are
  particularily bad.

- Get rid of the protruding walls on the back straight at Detroit
to make it up to date with the 1995 layout. It would make the track
a lot better. ICR II is based on the 1995 season...

- Much better statistics. The current state is an outright shame!
Apart from getting better race statistics it would very handy
to have a data acquisition mode during practice, warm-up and preseason.

- Implement a sky texture. It does sooooo much to the perspective.
Take a look at an example at
        http://www.racesimcentral.net/~terjjo/simulated_racing.html

to see how GP2 would look like without a sky texture.
It uses exactly the same principle as a horizon texture so there is no
reason whatsoever to leave it out except for frame rate considerations
which also should be no problem as long the sky texture is made
  optionable.

Absolutely !

I posted a message about this a couple of months ago and Rick Genter
replied that the computer racing line is recorded from laps made by
someone at Papyrus. Yeah right !

Don't forget the infamous yellow flag bug ! I play Nascar much more
than ICR2 at the moment, but when I do play ICR2 it is soooo annoying
to have to turn off the caution laps.

I forgot this:

The engine sound is too weak and monotonous, nothing but high pitch
really, sounds like 200 hp instead of 800 hp..
I think ICR II deserves better sound. It can't bet that difficult
to get a more realistic engine sound. Sloppy!

What do you expect an indycar engine to sound like?

Well, it would be nice if it sounded like an Indycar engine.  Papyrus
sampled a 4 cylinder motorcycle engine to get the sounds for ICR2.  There's
a big difference in sound between a high-revving 4 and a high-revving 8.

Not like a motorcyle engine!  To hear a real indycar download the wave
file at http://www.teleport.com/~mcarver/autosim.htm

Like an IndyCar engine. Have you ever watched an IndyCar
race and heard the action from a camera mounted
on an IndyCar's wing??

This is what you hear:
A coarse sounding engine which backfires when downshifting,
sounds like 800 hp, ie not some 11KHz sample of a two stroke
that sounds like a bee.

The current implementation of the engine sound is very good
in that it really responds fast to throttle changes.
But that's it.
