Well, a little feedback to Sierra Tech support mentioning that
their Web site STILL wasn't carrying the Mac ICR II patch (when
AOL has had it for a while!) seems to have done the trick!
The link shows up now on their Web site:

The link points to:

The description on the Web site says:
"Adds support for Mac Thrustmaster T2 pedals. Game will now automatically
unlock the modem configuration file. Fixes crashes during multiplayer racing
(system crashes, that is... a mere patch can't help your driving). Allows Mac
version of game to sponsor multiplayer matches which include users of the
Windows/DOS versions of the game."
The patch also seems to speed things up on my machine (but I haven't
really compared to the old version). I submitted the patch to Info-Mac
as well (with Sierra Tech support permission).
