Yep.....you could be correct.  I never thought of that aspect.
If so...thank God for the situation that gave us Rouen over Le-Mans -
Bugatti!! :o)

The International Formula Three Championship visited Magny Cours as early as
1978, but I'm not sure if it resembled the current 'facility'. When France
had perfectly good tracks like Clermont Ferrand it makes you wonder why they
now want to bore us to death doesn't it?
