Strange - out for a whole day and no comments so far ;)

Anyone care to share their impressions so far. The few forum posts I've
found suggest the worst-case scenario in that the demo was a fairly exact
representation of the final product (car shape, mirror, sound, spotter, diff
.... etc). However, I'd really like an excuse to buy this as I'd like to run
the new rules and could do with a change.

I feel the same way but I don't need an excuse.  I'm a game ***.  ;o)

I'm not so perplexed.  I'm going to get it (hopefully today).  I'll get my
money's worth just by running off line against the AI.   (Practice . . .
practice . . .practice.)

But I do hope enough Rascar drivers are willing to take the chance and that
we can try at least a few races online.

I have heard it does not support the TSW.

There is a post on onlineracin.com where the TSW guys fund a way around the
issue I believe.

Check this thread at RSC:

http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=192597

Dave Jr. himself has addressed this issue and it works fine. FWIW, I
ran the demo with my TSW2 w/ no problems. Best controller config from
EA ever, IMHO. (Not that that says a whole lot).

Demo supported mine fine.  Haven't had a chance to get release yet.

Not looking too good right from the start! I setup a 25% distance race
with the tire wear and fuel consumption set to X4. Every race I've
tried like this has had a problem at the beginning of the lap that
everyone will be pitting on. I'm at the back of the pack and entering
turn 1 the whole pack slows waaaaay down. It took me about ten minutes
to find this huge bug. I guess beta testing wasn't a big priority! Day
one and already waiting for a patch!

Well the demo sucked, so I'm not really surprised. I'll probably buy it
anyway because I'm an idiot.

But wait, there's more!!!

1.  VOIP doesn't work.
2.  Spotters don't work.
3.  Don't get me started on the Frame Rate issue.  NO FSAA or your Frame
Rates tank, and the graphics look AWFUL without it.
4.  If you are using a Momo, do not set the FF to Full.  That actually turns
it off LOL.  Set it to HIGH instead.
5.  Ejected from car on crash?  Sheesh!

I'm not giving up yet, but so far it looks like Thunder 2005 and that's a
crying shame.  After all the Hype we get this?

Oh, btw... Took me 10 min to find a screen name that wasn't taken.  As bad
as AOL LOL

On the good side online looked pretty stable.

How many people did you have on the server Larry?  I seen one other post in
a forum that said that online was shaky so was just curious.
