Four laps into the race and they've done it again. Christ I hate these
restrictor plate races. A spindly open wheel car can travel around an oval at
230 plus with relative safety, but a 3400 lb steel cage can't.

The higher ups at Nascar need to get their collective heads out of their
keesters, pull the plates and let em race.

Not really nightmares, but from memory the ,1 argument would
usually hand execution to the program being loaded - you only
needed to "run" programs when loaded from tape. I could be
wrong - it's been a long long time.

I do remember that you had to load "$",8 or something and LIST
to get a directory listing.

mmm, i loved that 1541 floppy drive - physically larger than the
c64 itself.

I didtched my commodore for an Atari 1040 ST. much easier to use

Too bad Atari was mismanaged into the ground by a couple of
nincompoops. But IBM was probably going to win the ST/Amiga/PC
race in any event. I wonder if anybody will ever (for the next 10-20
years or so) have the chutzpah to take on Microsoft and design a
truly killer dedicated *** PC which is NOT dependent on
Microsoft/IBM architecture in any way. I know pipe dream...
