I use the PC for games, mainly FPS and racing games, mainly GP3 and GPL. We
currently have
a Nvidia TNT2 64 graphics card - I have been offered a brand new Geforce 2
MX400 64mb for 50 - question is - is it really worth it? Will I really see
a difference in game quality, smoothness etc. I read all the benchmark tests
etc but was wondering if anyone out there has made this swap and what their
impressions are. I knnow there will be an improvement, but how much of one -
will it be greatly noticeable?
I was tempted to hang on to my money to buy a Geforce 3 but the price
difference is much larger, and perhaps we could make do with the Geforce 2
until prices come down?

The MX400 will be a good choice for those games - will run both games
perfectly at 1024x768 with a Duron 900.  You could also play F1 2001 with
decent detail - something which you definitely couldn't do with your current
card.
