Is there such thing as a tyre wear indicator for GP2, like there was for
GP1. Also is there a version of GPGAP which will tell you who the top say
6 drivers in the race are?

Thanks

Yes, there is a tyre wear indicator. While in the pits, go to the setup
screen. Then go to "Advanced" and then to "Inspect vehicle".

In the setup menu, in the advanced section, go to <inspect vehicle>.
It shows plank wear and tire wear.

I was meaning like Trev Kellaways utility for GP1, where the tyre wear
was displayed *during* the race.

Yes, go to the pits, setup, advanced, inspect car.
(This screen also shows the wear on the plank).

No, there is no tyre wear indicator which can be used during the race,
(as far as I know?)

However, experienced drivers will be able to tell by the cars handling
and the lap times how worn the tyres are. Or how much the tyre have gone
"off".

Also, if you indulge in plenty of testing, you can determine how long the
tyres will last, starting with a full tank, and adjust your pit stop
strategy as necessary to compensate.

Tactics, tactics, oh the joys of Motorsport?

I'm not sure which sim you guys are talking about, I might guess GP2 by
the way you spell tire, but I know of at least one guy in England who
drives ICR2.  Anyway, in ICR2, you can press f5 during a race to see
wear indicators.  If you were refering to another sim...I can't help you.

Well now you know of two who play ICR2!. I only play it now and again
for fun though, I stick to GP2 for the serious racing. Besides the fact
that ICR2
cars always seem to crash into me at the first available opportunity.
