LFS - Are You Guys Easily Entertained or What?

Yikes....what is all the fuss about?

I just ran LFS for 4 and 1/2 hours....straight.  It's total junk!  I wasn't
immersed in any way, shape or form.  Blistered two fingers on my right hand,
then two on my left.  In the fourth hour, I was using my elbows and my right
foot big toe (a suggestion for keyboard racers taken straight from the "How
To Sim Race On A Keyboard" written by Francois Menard - page 93).

I really don't see what you girls think is so cool about this?

Geeze, I love it.  Played for about 6 hours last night, even some multiplayer
action with about 3-6 fps didn't deter me :-)

Tom, I seriously hope you were playing single player, because multi is as
much fun as I've had sitting at a computer, close racing, blowing the horn,
full contact where necessary, just tons of fun. I prefer the paved to the
rally course for now, but I enjoy both, and have had great races on both.
It's no GPL, it's something new and fun and remember to blow your horn early
and often, especially when in traffic.

I would imagine he is playing, as he stated he played it 4 hours.
If it really wasn't all that much to someone, I doubt they would put 4 hours
into it.

not just 4 hours ....but 4 AND A HALF hours....it's that last half hour that
gives him away...thats when your eyes hurt so bad from not blinking for the
first 4 hours that you can't see straight , but you keep saying "just one
more race then I swear I'll go to bed. !"

:-)

if you get your setup well, drive the RWD turbo its actually a reasonable
sim...

even such things as the limited slip diff adjust slack to locked are
modelled perfectly...

if got rough edges but once you get into lapping the RWD car....it takes on
a new light....

its quite acrade, but its free, and it works...

It's a great game, the only thing I absolutely hate is trying to kick
the rear end out on the rally cross track while only being able to use
single axis pedals.  Just a weird feeling.  The first few laps I was
underbraking half the turns on the dirt sections because I kept trying
to throw the rear end out and then play with the throttle and ended up
just canceling the brake/throttle out.

I struggle without split axis....its just alien, both to sim racing, and my
normal driving in a car...its the point of turn it and the end of the
braking zone where it killed you in stabilty terms...
