GeForce2 MX and 3D VooDoo2?

by Rick in Dalla » Sat, 10 Feb 2001 10:14:24

I put a GeForce2 MX 32mg card in my system (replacing my V550 and Creative
3D VooDoo2 accelerator.

My question for the many "Hardware Masters" would be, is there any benefit
to adding the VooDoo2 back in the system?  Or, would it even work?

Thanks in advance.

Only if you have some GLIDE games you must run... I still dig out my
Whiplash (Fatal Racing in Europe) for nostalgia's sake sometimes. :-)

I have a Voodoo 2 12mb aswell as a Creative Savage 4 32mb in my box!  Though
most new games seem to work very well with the Savage 4 alot of the older
stuff is better with the Voodoo 2, including GPL.  I also have a couple of
flight sims that don't have a D3D option.

It should work yes.  Whether theres any benefit will depend on whether you
play any old Glide games.
