That's a good and relevant question. Both cards have their own
advantages. Kyro II has a very good algorithm for not drawing stuff it
doesn't need to, which relieves the memory bandwith issues, something
that the MX II cards suffer from at high resolutions/32 bit colors. On
the other hand, the GeForce has a T&L unit that can bring up to 40%
speed increase in Nascar 4 when turned on, especially if world detail is
increased. Another issue is the drivers which are far more mature for
the GeForce, although I don't think Kyro II has too many issues.
Therefore it is very difficult to say which one is better; both are more
than sufficient for GPL (it uses 16 bit, no T&L), and in Nascar 4 (that
can run in both 16 and 32 bit) both have their own advantages. It would
be really great so see some head to head comparisons, esp. on processor
power limited machines where the T&L of the GeForce comes into play
more.
