Springs for T2

Hello RAS.

Where can I find brake and accelerator springs for my T2 Thrustmaster.   I
ordered some two weeks ago from Thrustmaster's site but haven't got any
reply.  My warrenty being over, I must assume they don't care.

Any help would be appreciated in finding those springs from an online store
or otherwise.  I live in Hull, Province of Qubec, near Ottawa, Canada.

See Ya !

=:-D

How did you order them?  I've had great luck with Thrustmaster - getting free
springs, pots, bungees - well after the warranty expired.  Did you go to their
website and fill in all the pertinent info on their form.  I never received
acknowledgement either, the stuff just shows up on my doorstep from one to four
weeks later.

Good luck,

Dave Ewing

Hi Robert!

Why bother getting springs, try this: Go to a bicycle shop or similar and
buy one of those bungee-springs used to tie your luggage onto a bike or on
the roof of a car.......next.....get a wooden plate about 1meterX1meter and
***your TM onto it.......next .......screw a piece of about 30cm
bungee-cord to the upper, backside of the pedal, then tighten it and***
the other end behind and beside your foot onto the wooden plate, same with
the other pedal. Now U have the advantage of beeing able to adjust the
stiffness of your pedals to your need and also you can rest your feet on the
plate so the pedals dont move around anymore!.......I used that method for
about a year until I got sick of friends laughing at my trashy Thrustmaster
which had no more cover on the wheel-unit anymore as I replaced that bungee
also with a longer one (mounted on another wooden plate as well) to adjust
steering-feel to my needs and to get better access to the
potis..........Hope to be of some (trashy) help :))

Markus.  That's the wildest idea I got so far...and it would work very well
I'm sure.  But I got tired of the good old T2 and just baught a Logiteck
Wingman Formula Force today.  I've just finished the setup and started to
practice offline.  It is so much more precise.  I'll have to get use to the
short travel of the pedals though.

I'll see you soon online.

Thanks again.

My online racing buddy broke his gas spring on his T2. I finally found
out why he was still racing. He used one of those bungie thingies on
the gas pedal. I must admit it works really well but looks like crap.
We only do NR1999 modem multiplayer so it is a fitting repair
IMHO :-)

My springs broke a while back and they squared me right away.
