Busted spring on T2

I know that this problem has been addressed recently, but...

I just busted the spring on the gas pedal of my Formula T2;
could someone e-mail me or point me to a web site with a
way of replacing it?  (Other than calling Thrustmaster for
a replacement that is.)

Only had the thing six months.....grrr

Please respond by e-mail as well as post.

Thanks,
Jeff Antley

Ok, goto http://www.yfhung.demon.co.uk/t2spring.html
It's working great, make sure to clear the upper cover when pressing the
pedal.

Bye Coco

I sent them an email from thier web site, and they sent me a complete kit
that had new potentiometers, springs, bungee cord, etc. I've had mine two
years!!!! I did need to replace both springs about a year ago, I made some
in a hurry, it was Indy 500 weekend and my computer was going to see alot of
action from friends and relatives that weekend. Those homemade springs
lasted a little while.....

Thanks for the help -- the Keith Bolin page was just the sort of thing I
was hoping for!  I admit, I'm impatient, and didn't want to wait a week
for Thrustmaster to send the springs I ordered through their web site
yesterday (yes, Greg, I had already been there) if there was a better
homemade solution!

Well I was mostly joking around. It was nothing personal :-)

Jeff,
Yea....if you have a hardware store that stocks a good supply of different
springs, you can almost always find something that will work also. That is,
if you don't want to go through the trouble of modifying the pedal assembly.
I would suggest going to one step higher in tension though, if you can find
them. I live in a rural area, and most big hardware outfits here have about
every kind of spring imaginable.

np =)  although when someone posts something like that with
a straight face it's hard to tell whether they're joking or
not!

I am diving into the project today....will post results.  I
also intend to move the brake pedal to the leftmost position,
doesn't look too hard.... (famous last words)
