Looking for SMP Info on N4

I, like most everyone else in this forum, am very pumped up after seeing the
screenshots over at Papy.com. I keep reading people's comments and
speculations about hardware requirements etc. We all should be smart enough
to know that if this title isn't slated to ship until 11/00, the hardware
market will be a vastly different place by the time this title hits the
street. Don't go making that upgrade quite yet. Anyway...

I am really hoping that N4 will incorporate SMP (Symetric Multi Processor)
support. I think the best way to take true advantage of these wonderful sims
would be to give one proc. to the physics engine and another for graphics
and multiplayer tasks. Granted the newest Video cards take the brunt of the
processing load, but I imagine having dual 1Ghz procs can only help a sim
like this SCREAM!

Can anyone shed some light on SMP support in N4?

Trying to get info myself. Be nice if it had a true dedicated server mode
like Unreal Tourney & Q3A. I could be wrong but even if the game doesnt take
advantage of SMP, wouldnt a SMP system help? Doesnt Win NT & Win2000 for
example split the requests, one processor handling the game while the other
one handles system functions & such?

Considering that the latest ver. of GPL supports smp (dual procs
actually), it's certainly plausible that N4, being based on GPL, will
also support smp in WinNT and Win2k.

OpenGL over the same setup under Win98.  Given how good N4 looks
already, it seems we'll need to scrape together every last fps we can
get!
