Car mechanical problems in F1C

by Nats » Sat, 12 Jul 2003 05:02:11

Is there any way to ramp up the likelihood of mechanical failures in the
game on AI cars. I am finding that the races seem to only have 3-4 dropouts
compared to the real races where often only 11-12 cars finish. I know this
isnt all to do with mechanical failures often spins etc play a part but it
still seems to be set unrealistically low.

Anyone found out anything about how the tracks/weather affect mechincal
failures in the game?

Also are there any websites or documents out there describing exactly what
all these car settings do. Its too basic in the manual. I mean surely there
must be a tutorial or something to show how to set a car up from scratch on
a website is there?

Set mechanical difficulties to x2 or x3 to get more failures.

3/4 of the way down is RacerAlex's car setup guide.

It's for F1 2002, and I'm not sure how much is changed and won't apply for
F1C.

Well in my game you can only change mechanical failures to either none,
normal, timescaled or season so I dont know what game you have!!
