F1C / TSW Controller Problems

by Uwe hoover Schuerkam » Sun, 29 Jun 2003 15:42:49

Hi folks,

I have a TSW2Mod set up for permanent split axis mode connected
to the parallel port (98SE).

In F1C, the wheel calibrates fine, I can assign functions to
the axis and buttons no problems.

Sometimes however, when only ever-so-gently touching the brake
pedal, the red indicator for that axis will get "stuck" halfway
through in the display and only go down again when I hit the
brake pedal hard and release it again.

It's almost like a sort of "on/off" pot flickering causes this.

Does anybody have and ideas how to fix this? I remember F1 2002
and the early versions of LFS had this problem too, but they
eventually "went away" without having to tweak anything. GPL,
N2003 and friends work fine on the same setup.

Thanks in advance for your time,

uwe

How about other DirectInput games?  Papy don't use DirectX for controller
setup.

Hi Redmist,

as I mentioned the older ISI titles work fine. Rally Trophy had
the same problems on my setup in split axis mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

uwe

F1C / TSW Controller Problems

Hi folks,

just a *** to let you know that I solved the problem
by cutting and pasting the relevant "Axes" section from my f1 2002
install which works great with the wheel over to my F1
Challenge PLR file. I have no idea why this solves the problem,
it might have to do with sensitivity settings or something.

I can post the relevant section from my PLR file here
if there is any interest.

Cheers,

uwe
