Can any owners of these things give me some info? After searching for a
wheel and pedal combo that i can afford and actually want I've decided that
i will use pedals and keep my joystick to steer.

Now some questions. Are the pedals split axis? Just the normal ones Pro
pedals are too dear. Also where do I plug in? Will I need a game card that
has 2 joystick ports? My combat stick is in the sound card and im assumeing
that the pedals wont be usb.

Any help or info appreciated.

The pedals are split axis for the games that support that (like GPL). I got
a set of the pedals today, and they work fine in GPL. The joystick plugs
into the pedals which plugs into the game port (the joystick is required).
To enable them, you just check the "Rudder / Throttle" checkbox in the
driver dialog box.

Yes, I would just get the normal "non-Pro" pedals. I have them and they work
great. Very reliable and precise. You just want the switch to the rudder...
you'll see if you get it. They work great in GPL. The non-Pro pedals are
cheaper in cost, too. There is simply a "y" connector that you plug your
j-stick into, then plug one into a gameport. Don't need two.

The only mod I've made is a racquetball under the brake pedal for more
resistance.

> Does that include the non "pro" pedals? Sounds very nice.

Yes; the pros have pedals that slide as well as pivot, which is of use for
(some) flight sims, but irrelevant for driving.  You won't regret buying the
std. model - they're extremely accurate, comfortable, and durable as well.
Plus, if you fix a firm racquet or squash ball under the brake pedal, it's
almost like having a pressure-sensitive brake.  Very nice.
