The "new" patched version of ICR2 is a HUGE improvement!
At last the cars behave consistantly on road tracks as if they are
tarmac, not oil-soaked skidpans.
Suddenly the car can be controlled in slides around corners and doesn't
"randomly" flick itself into spins or the armco.
Amazingly, for the first time there's a sense of control to the car!
This is GREAT for the game - I wish it had been like this at the start.
Sadly my confidence in the "sim" has been badly dented - not quite
irrevocably though - and more importantly I've now got GP2 which offers
me tracks I'm far more interested nad a driving model that (on early
trials) I like better. (note: not more/less accurate, "like" - don't
think either has a "better sim" claim - just different!)
I wonder which is better - having a flawed and irritating game since
winter '95 that I'd almost given up on - or an apparently much more
sorted product in summer '96.
Hmmmmm!!!
Cheers!
