If you are serious with racing simulators, I would say try to focus around
the 150-250$ price range. For that you can have a TSW2 (probably the best
quality/price wheel). http://www.racesimcentral.net/;. Note that it's hand-made,
100% Guaranteed and most of the parts aren't made from cheap plastic.
If this is a little too expensive for your budget, try to check out any
Thrustmaster product. http://www.racesimcentral.net/;. THe Nascar Pro wheel
is somehow a good wheel but more cheap than any TSW product. It's around
150$.
IMHO, I would buy this : a Thrustmaster GP1 Wheel (around 65$) and a set
of CH pedals. It's very simple to make it work, and it's better IMHO than
any other Thrustmaster product.

Since the new computer desk for the new computer didn't like the GP1's
mounting system, I got a NASCAR Pro. F1RS is a lot easier to drive with
this than the GP1 / CH combo, and for $100 this wheel is hard to beat. I
just feel a lot better driving with it than the GP1/CH setup (more travel in
the wheel and the pedals), seems sturdier, and mounts to the desk so well
you could pick it up with the wheel. If you have the $$, the TSW has a
great reputation, although I have no personal experience with it. Only
downside to TSW is it's not sold in stores (yet), and me I kinda like to try
the product and grab the box and take it home, and be able to return it if
need be, but that's just me, and not trying to disparage TSW in any way.
I've seen some sort of new CH wheel (XL 500 or something), around $60
w/pedals, wheel looked pretty decent. Not sure about the pedals, sort of a
weird design, that I figured would either work better than anything else or
really suck. They didn't have any out of the box so I didn't look into them
any further, but might be worth a look on a budget. Anybody seen or used
these?
