rec.autos.simulators

I have always been a huge fan of the NFS series but have recently expanded
into other types of racing games.  I'll make this short and sweet:

My Gravis Gamepad just won't cut it anymore, especially for GPL and F1
2000; the control is very erratic and not precise.

Which wheel/pedal combo is most compatible with the following games and
also quite sturdy?  Is there one made of metal?  Preferably with a USB
connection...

NFS 3, 4, 5
Mobil 1 Rally Championship
GPL
F1 2000

Any info appreciated...
