i.e. a grid full of Coventrys or something?
I guess not as the code probably states that, for example, Hill is in a
Lotus and no other car but I just wondered. I suppose F2 kind of caters
for that as all the cars have the same power.

First you have to edit "driver.ini" to have all drivers belonging to the
same team (I changed the team order as well so the drivers are ranked 1
to 19 in the same team. I don't know if it is necessary, but I thought
it was "safer" having unique "ranking numbers" in the team). This will
give you 19 AI drivers, driving for the same team, but only the ordinary
team drivers will have numbers on their cars.
To get numbers on each car you have to create 3do files for each new
driver in the "team" to point out what mip file to use. Do this by
renaming all carX.3do driXa.3do in the car directory. To get hold of the
3do files you have to unpack the car.dat for the team of choice.
Example:
1. To have Dan Gurney drive a Ferrari with start number 9 change the
driver.ini:
[driver_2]
team_number=4 (4 = Ferrari)
team_order=2 (or whatever)
car_number=9
first_name=Dan
last_name=Gurney
etc...
2. Unpack the fer.dat file to get the 3do files for each car and rename
the file fer9.3do to gur9a.3do.
Note the three first letters of the drivers last name, car number, and
the letter "a".
3. Copy gur9a.3do to the ferrari directory.
4. Try it
