If anyone sees me online in LFS again tell me to f*ck right off :-)
I've found a few decent drivers, but far too many who are fast &
foolish or just foolish... or not old enough to pay taxes and
understand the true meaning of leisure time!

Or maybe I just have the 'ump. Muppets, all of 'em... except for the
decent drivers, obviously.

Excuse me, I have to go reinstall VROC :-)

I know what you mean.  The lack of damage model REALLY ruins the pick up
race experience.

A LOT of TOTAL idiots out there.

I'm not trying to brush an entire community with the same label here - but
it DOES need to be sorted out - perhaps with some form of rating system
similar to N2k2

I'm not *entirely* sure I'm helping myself racing in the morning during
school holidays :-) Not that it seems to matter much when you race at
the moment.

I think I'll go back to watching Captain Scarlet before I head for bed.
Far more entertaining than being rear-ended at South City for the
up***th time.

PS Thunderbirds followed by Captain Scarlet! Beats the B&W junk I had
to put up with during my school hols :-)

I think that if you expected such a thing to happen, then it wouldn't upset
you as much.  It's open season in any online racing game.  There are idiots
everywhere.  I just looked out my ground-floor window and I saw one, just
walking.  See.

To get rid of the idiots, obviously, you have to password protect.  Find a
group you regularly race with and there you go.

As soon as I join a server, and it switches to spectator mode and I see
people doing donuts or driving backwards, I disconnect and try another
server.

I've noticed this with most of LFS online racing:

GET UP NEAR THE FRONT. There seems to be a mix of people on every server.
The better drivers are always up front,  so just get up there without
incident and have a fun race. Let the rest of the people crash eachother
around in the back..

I still don't have S1 for the exact point you make though. If they attached
GUNS to the cars, I'm sure over half the community would be VERY happy. That
says something...

Get S1.. the wreakers only play the demo, get on the S1 only server(s)
and there is no problem.. racing is good.. if too fast for me.

Once people pay, and are locked online with ID's plus the payers want to
race.

Sam here, it's a lot of nutters and a few good drivers(which doesn't
mean the fastest perse)
Tonight i dived into LFS online again.
Had an idiot behind me not able to pass me, he was typing/macro-ing
'blue flag' 'blue flag' 'blue flag' again and again and again....and
on top of that bumping into my rear over and over and over...his
nickname had something to do with a person riding a black mask who is
fond of whips and loves his mask...
Needless to say i got annoyed and at a certain point just let him
pass, sadly...getting out of the car and *** a person with the
blue flag is not simulated, gave him a 10 sec headstart so i could
drive in peace catching up on him

Back to netkar online for me, at least most folks over there seem to
grasp the concept of racing...haven't run into a bad mannered person
in netkar sofar...
To bad really...bring on damage in LFS...quick...very quick.

Actually no ;-)

Passed is correct in that context, and it's considered bad nettiquette by
many to correct spelling or grammar.

So what was his exact name? Zorro?
Any colors in his name?
You should report him so he can get kicked/banned..

It's netiquette, not nettiquette. :)
