RC2000 and force feedback

I wonder why nobody mentions the force feedback in RC2000. I have a
LWFF and I love the ff in rc2000! With my eyes closed I can feel on
what type of surface I'm driving. I like the snow stages especially,
wonderfull how it feels when driving on the snow, and when you drive
over ice you can feel the sliding of the wheels so good, it's superb!

Nothing can match the ff in GPL, but the ff in rc2000 is unique in
it's own right.

Damn I love this game! The more I play it, the more Iove it. It's so
hard to manage the damage, it's really a challenge to complete let
alone to win a rally.

The only thing that annoys me more and more is the lack of weight of
the car. Yesterday I drove with 2 wheels over a hill, not going very
fast, and whoops, my car tumbled over again. For me that's the only
thing they have to improve in a patch.

I can't wait to get home to play it again...

yeah, it's not realistic but it's a good ( force ) feedback to know
on wich surface we are.

what i really love in this game, the track.
It is narrow as real tracks are.
In 2nd stage of first rally, i've been really scared to drive 7th gear
in the Megane in this so narrowed track !

I also love the dim light in the forest, you have to turn the light on :o)

for my first rally,on the first stage with snow, i've broke

-2nd gear
-engine cooler

well, i've meet a tree very very close :o)

OK normally i would be dead, but it's a game, and i've been enough
penalise with damage for my driving fault.

i' hope they'll change the brakes too ! It's too much, a car at 120mph
on snow CAN'T BRAKE so short !!!

me too, i'll take more precautions and try to just finish the rally with
another thing than a wreck :o)

I agree, it's nicely done. And the texture/road effects are just
subtle enough so that you can still feel what the wheels are doing.

I think this aspect is much better in the final game than it was in
the demos. Maybe someone can figure out how to hack the car files tho.

Personally, having just risked buying the full game I'd have to say I find
the FF disappointing compared to that in CMR. (The later really managed to
convey the sense of 'impact' as the car came down adding to the illusion of
'weight'). Also the braking is APPALLING - it's just so 'digital'! You can't
just shave off a bit of speed coming into a corner - it's like trying to
drive in oversize wellies for god's sake.
