Adjustments during an N2 Race

by Unkno » Fri, 20 Jun 1997 04:00:00

I was just thinking the other day about how important it is for NASCAR
teams to make the right adjustments during a race to account for track
conditions, changing weather, car damage, etc. I was just wondering if
those of you that run 100% N2 races make many car adjustments throughout
the race (such as tire pressure, wedge, spoilers, etc.) I have never run
a 100% race, but I am going to now that I have the save game feature, and
I'm curious as to what others in this group do.

  Hi John,
If I miss the setup then I will make a wedge, spoiler, or air
pressure change. Damage usually forces me to make some sort of change
here and there. As the weather, temp, track conditions never change
there seems to be no need to adjust for them.
Random weather makes no difference as whatever the temperature/
wind is affects all cars relatively the same. Here's hoping that
Nascar3 will model variable weather and track conditions  that will
affect different setups differently. Be kind of fun to work on the
setup throughout the race.
