Maybe it's just me but I can't get this to work. It stalls trying to install
the BRM bit and won't budge. I've tried doing it manually and in the game it
says something along the lines of "can't load the track". Does it work for
everyone else OK?

Nope, same problem here. I don't even get that far before it falls over. It
looks great, but it may be that the only way to get it to run is to print
the batch file out and do all the actions manually using WINMIP.

I marked all the dat files (in each of the cars folders & layout folder) as
NOT read only.

Then it worked ok.

Note does not seem to work for your old saved races.
