Nascar Pro Digital Properties???

by Blackb » Mon, 17 Jul 2000 04:00:00

Can anyone tell me what the most optimal performance setting is for the
axis properties are for Nascar 3 and the Thrustmaster Pro Digital wheel??

I can't seem to get the dead spot right. I am using a "v" type
configuration.  Is this right?????

Thanks
J. A.

Dont know if this helps but when i bought a Digital Pro, the software that
was on the disc was ***just slapped together (probly patched by
now)..Anyway, i configured mine in the game controllers (in the control
panel) as an HID Game Controller: 3 axis 8 button, (using USB port). I never
reinstalled the Thrustmaster/Guillmot drivers or apps, and suppose u could
just build a custom controller if you run and older driving game that doesnt
recognize 3 axis control...Just another option to keep in mind...

I just purchased one of these myself, and it didn't even come with
any drivers.  When I try to do what you describe, I don't even see
this option in the game controllers screen.  Is there something
else you need to do to get this to show up?  I'm using Win98SE.

Wow, i stand corrected..O.K, trying to remember what i really did. I removed
the bogus TM drivers and apps, plugged the wheel back in the USB port (comp
still on) and either did it from there or in Game Controllers under Add and
then going to Add Other and then hilighting the (standard game device), and
then either it popping up automatically or selecting it...I know that i had
no drivers or TM software installed, and plugged the wheel back in after
restarting the comp....Sorry for the confusion guys, its been about a
year.....

Have you downloaded the 2.04 patch ?  The driver that comes with it sucks
and the 2.03c patch sucks.  2.04 works great and I'm really happy with the
wheel now.  I'm also glad to be using USB instead of flaky game ports.
